Things to do on Valentines Day- Go to tumble & tea cafe!

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner we are bombarded with images of romance, lovers and chubby babies in diapers and wings. The truth is Valentine’s Day is the day of LOVE not lovers. Now I don’t know about the rest of you, but when you’re a mom, a day dedicated to the notion of love includes not only your partner but your kids too.

There are many ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day with the entire family from the time you wake up in the morning, ‘til the sun sets at the end of this Saturday afternoon. One of my favorites is to start the morning off with heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast. All you need is the heart-shaped mold and you’re good to go. Add some red dye to whip crème and your kids will never forget it! Coffee, heart shaped pancakes- what else do you need?

Another fun activity to do with the whole family is to bake and decorate cupcakes. It’s a way for your family to bond, play and get a little messy. Best of all your kids get to let their creativity and imagination run wild. Just make sure you have different toppings and icing colors to chose from. (FYI- I use a mix. No time to make them from scratch.)

Looking for a great family restaurant the whole family will enjoy? Come visit tumble & tea café for lunch. Enjoy our made to order, fresh and delicious paninnis, salads, sandwiches and kid favorites. Our custom made indoor play space for kids will keep your kids happy for hours and you can cuddle on the comfy couches with your special valentine. It’s a Valentine’s Day treat the whole family can enjoy!

The best way to end of a long day of fun like this is by watching one of your family favorite movies at home. In all likelihood (and if your lucky) your kids may be too exhausted to make it through the movie. Once they’ve tired themselves out at tumble & tea café, take the opportunity to crack open a bottle of wine, put on some music and allow yourself to cuddle up with your original valentine (the one before the kids).
Love your life & Happy Valentines Day!
